Kiron D. Bondale, PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM II, ICP-ACC, PMI-RMP, DALSM/CDAI is a senior consultant for World Class Productivity Inc delivering training & consulting services to North American clients.

Kiron has managed hundreds of projects in both internal and third party contexts over the past twenty years. He has setup and led Project Management Offices (PMO) and has provided agile, project portfolio management and project management consulting services to hundreds of clients across multiple industries.

Kiron is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and served as a volunteer director on the Board of the PMI Lakeshore Chapter for six years. He has reviewed a number of recent PMI standards and practice guides including the Sixth and Seventh editions of the PMBOK® Guide. Kiron has been published in both project management-specific journals as well as industry-specific journals. He has delivered hundreds of webinar presentations on a variety of project management and agile topics and has presented at multiple industry conferences.

In addition to this weekly blog, Kiron is a daily contributor to key Linkedin and Projectmanagement.com.project management discussion groups. Kiron is a firm believer that a pragmatic approach to organization change that addresses process & technology, but primarily, people will maximize chances for success.

Andy Burns PMP, PMI-ACP, DACI, SPC is a founding member of the Siemens Digital Industries Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE). Following the SAFe roadmap Siemens Product Lifecycle Management stood up more than a dozen Agile Release Trains (ART) for more than 1,200 Software Engineers. Over the course of this global rollout Andy trained several hundred people worldwide in person and in a virtual classroom. Andy is also a Disciplined Agile Certified Instructor (DACI). Andy is actively teaching several virtual DA courses as well as Live Virtual PMP, PMI-ACP, and SAFe. Andy is a longtime volunteer with PMI at the Local and Global level. My ebook ‘Leadership in times of Crisis’ is a synthesis of conversations with practitioners, authors and leaders in the field of Project Management and Leadership. Here is a conversation that I had with Thomas Walenta.

Thomas Walenta PMP, PgMP and PMI fellow worked for IBM from 1983 to 2014 in a variety of client projects.  He worked in his first project in 1974 and build his first PMO from 1995. He is a member of PMI since 1992 and of GPM/IPMA since 1995.  As a PMI volunteer from 1998, he led the PMI Frankfurt Chapter for 8 years was elected to the PMI Board for 2 terms of 3 years each and was a  member of the PMI Ethics Review Committee for 6 years. Today he is coaching, teaching and mentoring.  He considers himself a Global Project Economy expert, covering all aspects of a new project management paradigm for people from 5 – 75 across all value delivery frameworks and helping the global society to improve.

The question of whether leadership skills are innate or acquired has been debated for long and evokes strong opinions on both fronts. We have seen how certain people stand out among the crowd and are born leaders.  And yet there are others who through observation, learning and focus have developed leadership traits with experience over time.
