Daily prompt: Super Sensitive
If you were forced to give up one sense, but gain super-sensitivity in another, which senses would you choose?

Todays prompt brings to light the importance of our senses and faculties
which we sometimes take for granted.
We are gifted with the wonderful sense of sight. I just love to admire
natures wonders, the flowers, birds, bees, oceans, skies, clouds etc and I
am always in awe of her intricate workings. Yet it is a pity how we squander
our sense of sight to watch videos, computers and television instead of spending
more time with nature
Music is a soother, relaxer and healer. I love to relax with music and it is a
great source of joy for me. However, we often use our sense of hearing to listen
to gossip, eavesdrop on conversations etc.
I can’t bring myself to imagine how dull and boring life would be if we could not
taste our food. I love people who take their time in eating and are great
connoisseurs of food.
The sense of smell is also a great relaxant. The wonderful aromas of lavender,
lemongrass, eucalyptus, camphor etc make us feel good. However, foul smells are
also disturbing and can irritate us.
The sense of touch gives meaning to texture, smoothness a hug, a kiss etc. It is also
Surviving without any sense makes no sense to me. However, if I am forced to give up
one sense to gain a supersense in another faculty, I would give up the sense of smell.
I really admire people like Helen Keller who made a world of difference being born both
blind and deaf.
