Star-gazers, astronomers and science enthusiasts worldwide looked skywards on wednesday to catch a once in 100 year specatacle of Venus making its transit across the face of the sun. The last Venus transit occurred on June 8, 2004, and the next one will not be visible again until the year 2117. The rare celestial phenomenon saw people gather around telescopes to view the beautiful spectacle in the sky.
